Why BrowserSeat

BrowserSeat lets guests use a browser on another person's computer. The host can continue using their own desktop.

Share a browser environment

A collaborator may need to complete a task in a browser running on your computer, using your network connection and an environment you have prepared.

The host shares one browser environment. Guests interact with that browser remotely.

Desktop and Chrome

Desktop creates isolated browser instances. Windows and macOS public releases are in development. The planned Chrome extension will share a selected existing tab.

Desktop supports separate profiles for ongoing work. The planned Chrome extension will share a tab already open in Chrome.

Background hosting

Desktop hosts browsers in the background. Guest input stays in the shared browser. The host can use their own mouse and keyboard.

Hosting uses the computer's CPU, memory, bandwidth and storage. Resource use depends on the websites and number of active browsers.

Development status

Public Windows, Mac and Chrome releases are not available yet. This website presents the product direction and illustrative interfaces.

Supported environments, pricing, release details and final feature documentation will be published as they are confirmed.

Invite to Shared browser

This illustrates a browser invitation. It does not create a live guest session.
