Choosing guest access

Choose view-only or control permission for each guest. Check the release documentation for supported controls.

Define the task

Decide whether the guest needs to view a page or actively operate it. Identify the websites, accounts and information required for the work.

Share the browser required for the task. Keep unrelated accounts in other browsers.

Viewing and interaction

Mouse and keyboard control allow a guest to act inside the browser, including on signed-in websites. Choose both the guest and the shared environment accordingly.

Navigation and browser activity limits are part of the planned Desktop controls. Available controls may differ from the Chrome extension's selected-tab model.

Clipboard and files

Clipboard, upload and download controls are planned for Desktop. Determine whether the task requires bringing files in, saving results or copying information out.

Restricting a transfer action does not guarantee that visible information cannot be recorded. Share information with people you trust to handle it appropriately.

Microphones and cameras

Camera and microphone controls are being explored for Desktop. Device forwarding and website compatibility are not confirmed release capabilities.

Check the installed version's documentation before planning a call, recording or another device-dependent task. Do not assume a guest's devices will appear in the host browser.

Duration and review

Set an agreed end point for the session and review access when the task changes or finishes. A returning guest may need a different environment or set of permissions.

Session expiry, guest removal and persistent profiles are part of the product direction. Exact settings and behavior will be documented with each release.

Invite to Shared browser

This illustrates a browser invitation. It does not create a live guest session.
