BrowserSeat
questions
Help centerWhere does the browser run?
On the host’s computer, using that computer’s processing power, internet connection and allocated browser storage. The guest connects to it remotely.
Can I keep using my computer?
Yes. Guest input stays in the shared browser. You can use your own desktop at the same time. Hosting uses CPU, memory, bandwidth and storage.
What does the guest get access to?
Guests access the browser you share. Control permission lets them perform actions on signed-in websites. Invite people you trust with those accounts.
Does my computer need to stay on?
Yes. Local hosting depends on your computer being awake, online and running BrowserSeat. Sleep, shutdown or connection loss can interrupt the session.
What is the difference between Desktop and Chrome?
Desktop is designed to create dedicated, isolated browser environments. The extension starts with an existing Chrome tab and shares that selected page.
Can I download it yet?
Not yet. The Windows and Mac installers and the Chrome Web Store listing have not been published. The download page shows their current availability.
