How BrowserSeat works

The shared browser stays on the host’s machine. The remote guest works inside that browser environment.

Host computer

  • Runs the browser
  • Supplies the internet connection
  • Stores the browser profile and files

Guest device

  • Connects from another location
  • Views the shared browser
  • Interacts within its access scope
1

Create a browser.

Use Desktop for a separate browser environment, or Chrome for an existing selected tab. Prepare the pages and account access the task calls for.

2

Invite someone you trust.

Give them access to that particular browser or tab. The intended invitation flow includes a browser-based guest experience; final requirements will be published with the release.

3

Keep the host available.

The computer needs to stay awake and online. Your guest works in the shared browser while you keep using your own desktop.

4

End access when the work is done.

Review the result, close the visit, and decide which files and sessions should remain in the shared profile. Exact controls will be documented per release.
